Panchwati Farm House
Location:- Hapton, Lancashire.
Once the Architects obtained outline planning permission for the development of this 16,000 sq/ft family home Pres-tech Construction took over the project as a Design and Build, working closely in association with the client.
The client's brief was that he wanted his new family home to echo the form of a traditional British farm and at the same time reflect his cultural heritage.
All the stonework was specially sourced from a quarry in India which involved several trips to the quarry, along with the client, to detail and quantify each piece meticulously, being aware that any mistakes would put the project back several months.
The hardwood for all the internal frames, doors, skirtings etc. was imported from Indonesia, again meaning several trips abroad to source and select a manufacturer that was capable of producing our requirements. The project was completed to the complete satisfaction of the client and the end result is a home which is a successful synthesis of the integration of both cultures.
